Come fly with me, let’s float down to Peru… In llama land there’s a one-man band and he’ll toot his flute for you…
Those famous lines from Sinatra play in my head every time I think of the South American country. And fly we did – it took us 4 flights and over 26 hours to “float down” to Peru. Flying standby, courtesy of my friend Jenni, has its perks, but will also cause extreme stress and deprive you of sleep.
Our short, week-long trip took us from Lima to Cusco, where we did the most touristy thing possible – explore Machu Picchu! After a few more days in Cusco we headed back to Lima with just enough time to visit the Circuito Mágico del Agua(Magic Water Circuit) which was definitely worth the time, and the ride with a crazy taxi driver.
So much to do, so little time… Peru I will see you again!
